The Metairie Academy Co-Op is your connection to the teachers, staff and parents, which improves the quality of our school. With parent involvement, schools routinely show increased student achievement, teacher morale, overall school ratings and reputation in the community.  Plus our fundraising efforts bridge the vital gap between minimal public funding and the true needs of the school.

YOU CAN ENHANCE THE SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

Fall Fest,  our Mardi Gras parade and the Holiday Gift Shop are just a few of the school events developed, planned and staffed by the Co-Op and parent/teacher volunteers. We provide an atmosphere that is both academically driven and enriching. The Mustang Store is a great way to be involved on campus as well!

YOU CAN HELP IMPROVE COMMUNICATION

The Co-Op acts as a liaison amongst the school administrator, mens club and grandparent groups. Our network of send-home flyers, calendars, email, text and social media posts provide an all-encompassing view of the events and activities that affect our families.

WE CAN SKIP THE SALES

We raise needed money for the school, which we funnel into teacher professional development and educational support. Rather than turning our students into little salespeople peddling cookie dough and gift wrap, we host enjoyable events or sponsor dine out nights.
